Mark A. Robinson's practice focuses on medical liability and nursing home/extended care litigation involving legally and medically complex issues. He has represented long-term care facilities and nursing homes, physicians, nurses and hospitals in cases before West Virginia's circuit courts for over 10 years at Flaherty, Sensabaugh & Bonasso, and has an acknowledged history of defense verdicts.
Mr. Robinson is an accomplished trial lawyer with significant courtroom experience and recognized success, having served as counsel in more than 40 medical liability cases in the past 10 years. He has won trials for orthopedic surgeons, internists, obstetricians and gynecologists, general surgeons, and other health care professionals.
Mr. Robinson is a member of the firm's Management Committee.

- Obtained defense verdict on behalf of an orthopedic surgeon in a case where the plaintiff alleged the surgeon did not provide proper post-operative care which then led to the development of a pulmonary embolus
- Obtained defense verdict for a general surgeon in a gall bladder removal case alleging subsequent liver damage resulting in death
- Obtained defense verdict in trial where the plaintiff alleged a physician negligently failed to convert a laparoscopic operation into an open operation
- Obtained defense verdict in retrial on behalf of a physician in a case involving alleged negligence for failing to screen for colorectal cancer resulting in a delay in diagnosis of patient's colon cancer
- Obtained defense verdict for a general surgeon in a trial where the plaintiff alleged failure to obtain informed consent and damages from a hemorrhoidectomy
- Obtained defense verdict for hospital and emergency room physician in a trial involving alleged failure to timely transport motorcyclist involved in an accident resulting in a spinal cord injury and paralysis
- Obtained defense verdict in an informed consent case where the plaintiff alleged the defendant OB/GYN physician failed to properly inform the plaintiff of the risks and alternatives to a total abdominal hysterectomy
- Obtained defense verdict for general surgeon in a trial where the plaintiff alleged that the surgeon's decision to perform laparoscopic cholecystectomy activated a dormant virus which contributed to the patient's death
